The first ride on the tarmac and beyond the asphalt Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, from Joshua Tree National Park to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway
Sant’Agata Bolognese/Palm Springs, California, May 18, 2023 – California’s varied landscapes provide the perfect environment to appreciate the eclectic spirit of the Huracán Sterrato[1], evident from the moment the tires touch the tarmac then the sand, on road and track.
Driving the scenic roads of remarkable Joshua Tree National Park, adventurers enjoy the Sterrato’s comfortable ride on asphalt before tearing down the exhilarating dirt tracks in rally mode at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. The Coachella Valley Desert Tour combines a traditional paved track with sections of dirt surfaces for a total length of approximately 2.5 miles. The Lamborghini brand’s pioneering and unconventional approach is evident in the Huracán Sterrato’s performance in such diverse environments, with vehicle dynamics optimized for perfect driving control on all surfaces.
The adventurous character of the Sterrato is clear at first glance: ground clearance is increased by 44 mm compared to the Huracan EVO[2] for greater suspension travel, with wider tracks at the front and at the rear by +30 mm and +34 mm respectively. The aluminum front underbody protection, reinforced sills, rear diffuser and robust wheel arches not only protect the car but emphasize its muscularity. Distinctive air intakes on the rear hood reinforce the sporty character of the Sterrato, but provide the engine with clean air when driving on dusty roads. The 19-inch rims shod with specially developed Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires provide maximum versatility and adaptability on all surfaces and conditions, for optimal feedback and driver enjoyment as well as performance.
After exploring Joshua Tree National Park and exploiting the Sterrato’s capabilities at Chuckwalla, the dirt road covered in fine desert sand leads back to Palm Springs, where the pace slows and the Huracán Sterrato’s versatile soul adapts perfectly to the avenues surrounded by palm trees. trees in exclusive California location.
