Bugatti showroom in Monaco takes up residence in a highly symbolic location
The Bugatti showroom in Monaco recently opened its doors on the Côte d’Azur, in an emblematic location closely linked to the brand’s glorious past in motor racing, namely one of the streets of the Principality which welcome, every spring, the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The brand opened its new Monaco showcase on one of the most famous roads in the world, a unique setting in the heart of the timeless Principality, echoing this common history which forever links Bugatti and Monaco.
Indeed, Monaco occupies a special place in the history of the Molsheim brand. If, during the very first Grand Prix on the Monaco Circuit in 1929, it was a Bugatti – the Type 35B driven by William Charles Frederick Grover – which won, it was, among others, the legendary racing driver Louis Chiron who will forever seal the destiny of Bugatti and that of the Principality. Born in Monaco in 1899, it was aboard a Bugatti that the man who gave his name to one of the brand’s best-known hyper sports cars took first place at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1931. As a tribute to this rich heritage, the new Bugatti showroom is directly located on the route of the Formula 1 circuit at the famous La Rascasse bend, not far from the Louis Chiron bend.
On the occasion of the official inauguration of the new Bugatti showroom, guests were able to discover the all-new W16 Mistral¹, Bugatti’s ultimate roadster, for its first appearance on the Côte d’Azur. They were then invited to the Car Collection of HSH the Prince of Monaco, located a few steps away, where they were offered a guided tour offered by the Director of the Collection herself, Valérie Closier. It was also an opportunity for the guests to appreciate in the smallest details a selection of the brand’s most exclusive hyper sports cars: the one and only La Voiture Noire², one of ten Centodieci³, a rare Divo⁴ and a Chiron Pur Sport⁵ “Grand Very special price. They will be joined by the W16 Mistral for an exhibition to be discovered until April 28. An absolutely unique opportunity to contemplate these creations side by side.
