Alpine A110 San Remo 73: a new edition to celebrate the passion for rallying

    • The Alpine A110 celebrates 50 years since its victory at the San Remo rally, and the first manufacturer’s title in the 1973 World Rally Championship.

    • A limited series of 200 copies, modern and distinctive.

    • The Alpine A110 San Remo 73 will be available to order from March 17, 2023 at a price of €89,000 including tax.

After the Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75 revealed in 2022, this time it is up to the limited series A110 San Remo 73 to pay homage to the brand’s glorious past in rallying.

With this new edition, Alpine celebrates the 50th anniversary of a historic moment for the brand in motorsport: the victory in the San Remo rally but also the manufacturer’s title for Alpine in a World Rally Championship. If the reference to the past is clear and the homage unambiguous, this numbered series of 200 units is above all modern and distinctive.

A MODERN REINTERPRETATION OF THE ALPINE LEGEND

Inspired by the legendary Alpine A110 which won the San Remo rally in 1973, this new limited series is illustrated by a modern and unique design, combined with agility and performance thanks to its chassis and its 300 hp engine. The Alpine A110 San Remo 73 features a unique design combination both inside and out.
With its unique bodywork in the original Caddy Blue color, its black roof arches and its red varnished carbon roof, the A110 San Remo 73 limited series reinterprets the legendary livery of the historic Berlinette from 1973. The thematic signature “San Remo 73” affixed on the hood, doors and rear bumper, is complemented by black and white graphic elements on the doors. Added to this are 18-inch Grand Prix Gloss White rims, Anthracite-colored Brembo® brake calipers, black front light boomerangs, as well as Gloss Black Alpine wing logos and monograms.
In the passenger compartment, which houses a microfiber cockpit highlighted with gray stitching, the Sabelt® Racing bucket seats are embroidered with a “World Champion 73” thematic signature and are predisposed to receive a six-point competition harness. The sporty atmosphere is completed by the Sport pedals, the aluminum passenger footrest and the Alpine floor mats. The door panels are signed with the two black and white thematic stripes.
Exclusive, the Alpine A110 San Remo 73 is limited to 200 units worldwide and receives a “Limited Series A110 San Remo 73” plaque numbered from 1 to 200. This limited edition will also have a rich range of equipment, such as the high-performance braking system, an active sports exhaust, electric folding exterior mirrors and interior mirror with automatic anti-dazzling function, rear and front parking assistance and reversing camera, as well as the Focal Audio system and Alpine Telemetrics.
In France, it will be available to order in the Alpine network from Friday March 17 at 9:00 a.m., at a price of €89,000 including tax.

Alpine A110 San Remo 1973, the consecration

The Alpine A110 San Remo 73 takes over from a legendary vehicle that won Alpine the World Rally Championship for the first time.

In 1973, the Alpines dominated with 4 victories after 9 rounds of the World Rally Championship. The Berlinettes are among the favorites during this 10th round of San Remo which shares common roads with the Monte-Carlo course, making it a mixed terrain, favorable to Berlinettes without counting on their advantageous weight/power ratio.

On Italian roads, the No. 1 Alpine will complete the first stage more than 5 minutes ahead thanks to a riskier but profitable tire strategy. With a delay of more than 9 minutes on the leader at the start of the second stage, the Alpine n°5 will line up the best times, and catch up, special after special to finish 3rd overall behind the Fiat 124, and the Alpine n°1 which will finish the San Remo round more than 6 minutes ahead of the rest of the field. This 10th round will seal the manufacturers’ world title for good for Alpine.

The iconic Blue, White, Red livery and its black and white stripes will be that of the world title. This now legendary decoration is reinterpreted by Alpine in 2023, and pays tribute to the fiftieth anniversary of this rally victory.
