Škoda presents the new Octavia

Škoda Auto updates the sedan and combi versions of its iconic Octavia. With more than 7 million units delivered, it is by far the Czech manufacturer’s best-selling model. The modern fourth generation of the Octavia has revised its design and features a new grille as well as new generation Matrix LED headlights. Customers benefit from even more comprehensive standard equipment. In addition, the share of sustainable materials in the car interior has increased. Further safety and assistance systems improve active and passive safety, and a new range structure offers additional individualization options.

The fourth generation of the modern Octavia is entering its next production phase. The facelift includes a revised design with redesigned front and rear bumpers and an updated Škoda grille. The second generation Matrix LED headlights offer an improved light output of almost 40%. The new range structure includes three finishes – Selection, Sportline and RS – as well as nine interior design selections.

In addition to new durable materials for the seats, dashboard and door panels, a 10-inch digital display is now offered as standard on certain model variants. A 13-inch infotainment screen is available as an option for the first time on the Octavia. The AI-based ChatGPT chatbot will be integrated as standard into the Laura voice assistant during 2024. The integration of ChatGPT into the Laura voice assistant brings new possibilities that go far beyond previous voice commands. Intelligent Park Assist and Remote Park Assist also make their debut in the Octavia. The engine range consists of two 1.5 TSI petrol engines, available with micro hybridization technology, two more powerful 2.0 TSI petrol engines and two diesels. Powers range from 85 kW (116 hp) to 195 kW (265 hp).

In addition, Škoda Auto has further improved the active and passive safety of the vehicle: a new attention and drowsiness assistant now uses a wide range of data and parameters to evaluate the driver’s behavior. In addition, the new Octavia is equipped with 10 airbags.
