The first global special series of the range will be available for order in France from Tuesday November 21. Its name: “Tributo Italiano. » Available on the Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale models, this exclusive edition pays homage to the origins of the brand and represents the best expression of Italian know-how and sportiness according to Alfa Romeo.

Several distinctive elements contribute to making the exterior appearance of this special series unique and daring. Like the “V” grille (black for Giulia and Stelvio, Dark Miron for Tonale), the 21” alloy wheels on Stelvio, 19” on Giulia and 20” on Tonale, all matching the very sporty red Brembo brake calipers. The same sporting spirit is found inside the three models. In particular, the new black leather sports seats feature a perforated treatment with red stitching and the front headrests are embroidered with the logo specific to the special series. Evocative filming in Matera, an ancient city halfway between tradition and innovation
Alfa Romeo chose Matera, one of the oldest cities in the world, as an evocative setting for the shooting of the special series “Tributo Italiano”. Famous for its Sassi Caves, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, the city is halfway between the past and the future, between tradition and innovation, and perfectly reflects the essence of Alfa Romeo : a brand with a glorious past, which is now writing the history of 21st century sportsmanship. From the historic streets of Matera, enveloped in the light of southern Italy, the three cars take the road to Milan, the Italian capital of technological innovation and the birthplace of the brand, which was founded there on the 24 June 1910. A common thread is therefore traced between two very different places, brought together by the same desire to look to the future with ambition and pride. Today, and especially thanks to the many young people who live there, the city serves as a laboratory for projects serving social innovation, sustainability and the preservation of its historical, cultural and landscape identity. Not everyone may know that the grandfather of engineer Nicola Romeo, founder of the Italian brand, was from Montalbano Jonico, a small town in the province of Matera. Alfa Romeo thus continues its wish to present and contextualize its cars in emblematic Italian sites, closely linked to its more than century-old history. This was demonstrated by the wonderful images shot for the centenary of the Quadrifoglio in Palermo, where the lucky charm first appeared on Ugo Sivocci’s Alfa Romeo which won the Targa Florio in 1923. He the same goes for the shots devoted to the new Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio taken in Mantua and around Lake Garda, the same places where the “1000 Miglia” were raced in 1930, during which Tazio Nuvolari experienced his first success behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Spider Zagato. In essence, everything that makes Alfa Romeo a profoundly Italian brand!
